First Wave Realty & Management was founded in 2006 by Dave George, a former submarine officer and graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy. He received his bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering in 2000.

Dave served aboard the USS Portsmouth, a nuclear fast attack submarine from 2001 until 2004. Dave next served in the San Diego area as the liaison to the Swedish diesel submarine, the HMS Gotland from 2004 to his departure from the Navy in 2006. He then attended real estate courses and training with the intent of starting a business in the property management and real estate industry.

In 2007, Dave was interviewed to lead the Fannie Mae Tenant-in-Place initiative to manage tenant occupied foreclosed properties during the real estate downturn. He managed over 200 Fannie Mae owned properties for 2 to 5 years at a time, allowing tenants to continue to rent the properties until their eventual sale.

During a difficult real estate market, Dave assisted over 50 homeowners in completing short sales. As these were new and developing times, Dave's problem solving skills came in handy. Satisfying multiple lenders, and navigating new and tricky procedures with each lender, he found a niche in successfully completing these short sales as an expert negotiator. Many agents found these transactions too complicated and some never .

The experience gained in managing thousands of rental properties, overseeing hundreds of property renovations, and handling ALL types of real estate purchases and sales is invaluable. He strives to provide meaningful and practical advice to his clients, creating a sense of ease and simplicity throughout the entire real estate transaction. He will put a tenacious and persistent attitude and belief that there is always a solution hard at work for you.
